Buying A Horse.jpg

Are you considering buying a new horse or have been through the difficult process in the past of selecting an animal for your needs? Phillip can help you with the task, transforming a tedious decision into a positive, rewarding outcome. Buying a horse should be a fun and enjoyable adventure. Let experience and a keen eye help you along.

Just like buying a horse, selling a horse can be a task as well. Making that decision to sell your animal can be very hard on people who have developed bonds over time. A commitment is needed to your horse to do everything possible to find it the right buyer and home along with a reasonable amount of time, price and opportunity. With this in mind, Phillip can enable you to make the right decision if you require it. Advice and support is always available.

Tips for buying a horse

  • Select a Trained Horse - Untrained horses can take months to train and break in.

  • Older Vs Younger - Older horses have a lot of experience and sometimes more to offer.

  • Younger People - Select a horse that you can handle, is trained and can ben ridden from purchase.

  • Impulse - Don’t buy from impulse, know thoroughly what to buy and ask informative questions.

  • Trial Period - Don’t be afraid to ask the seller for a trial period. It could help make your decision.

  • Think of Costs - Buying a horse can be expensive, but having a horse can be more. Set a budget in place.
